WE BOUGHT A HOUSE!!!!!!!

We have spent the last few weeks looking at so many houses. This past weekend we found one that is absolutely perfect! After learning that they accepted our offer without any problems we have been so excited! We officially close on our house in Charleston this week. We will be closing on our new house June 26, unless they find something new to move in sooner (which I keep hoping they do!). We are so excited to finally have our own place again! I hope that the next 5 1/2 weeks flies by! The house is absolutely perfect-no work needed to be done before we move in. It is on the back of a cul-de-sac, there's a big deck, a huge backyard, finished basement, large family room and kitchen too....man I could go on and on and on!!! It's also less than 10 minutes from Polaris-which means close to lots of great shopping and restaurants!!!Here's a few pictures, the house is really a lot bigger than what it looks like from the front. There is plenty of room for company and entertaining. :) All are welcome as soon as we're in!!!

Front of the house.

Back of the house-deck!

Kitchen.

Family room.

Entryway.

They had a formal dining room here, but we'll make it Aaron's office and put the new piano we just bought in there too :)

Master bedroom-with his and her walk-in closets!!!

Just part of the basement. Lots of space down here too-also roughed in for another 1/2 bath!

This is my new piano-I can't wait to start playing again-maybe Emily will pick it up too!

We are so excited to be back in our own space again. We just keep praying that everything goes very smoothly the next few weeks. We are already planning summer barbeque's and get togethers-can't wait!!!

Mother's Day

For Mother's day this we went to Grandma Peterfy's house. We cooked out, and while we were eating-there were tornado sirens going off with tornadoes passing not far away!!! Despite the storms we enjoyed our food. Then the kids went fishing at next door at Aunt Laurie's pond. Emily and Saylor just had fun throwing rocks into the water.

Creeping up to the water

Saylor sitting and watching the big kids fish.

Saylor checking out his daddy-I thought it was pretty sweet.

The kids helped us plant flowers for Grandma. That's Saylor with Michelle, and my cousin's girls Emma and Olivia. They helped with the dirt and picking out the flowers to put in.

Emily liked playing with the dirt too-what big helpers!

Happy Mother's Day everyone!

OSU + WVU = <3

There's a house in my parent's neighborhood that I pass at least once a day. Every time that I pass it, I smile. I know there was a little competition at the Cummings' household recently, and I just wanted to let everyone know that we can all get along and happily live together! (In case you were wondering, Ohio people won-of course!). Anyways, I think of all my WVU alum in SC (PA too!) each time I see this. I hope y'all are doing well. Hope to see you soon!! Until then, this will have to do......

Spring is Fun

Although we have already taken over my parents house with our things, when we went shopping for a fun outside toy for Emily I did try to keep it smaller. What we ended up getting was a slide. Emily has so much fun on it. I went with the bigger option to hopefully get more than one summers use out of it. She needs just a little 'spotting' to keep her from falling off-there have been a few boo-boos but nothing to keep her from going again. Anywhere we see a slide now it's "sli, sli" and she wants to play!

Ready, Set...

Go!!! Wheeee!!!

We also got a zoo pass this year. It is pretty cheap-$70 I think for a family pass. You can add a visitor too for $15. We added Michelle on as our visitor so that we could go this summer. We've already gone a couple of times-pretty much made it worth getting the pass already. Can't wait to go more this year-the kids love it. Then there's no pressure to feel like you have to see everything since you paid so much to get in. We can go for an hour or so until Emily's done for the day and then leave. No problem if we missed the giraffe-we'll catch it next time! Looking forward to spending lots of time there this year.

Just getting to the zoo-Emily and Saylor ready to go!

Emily loves looking at the "feesh." It must be her SC blood coming out :)

Saylor loves playing on the slide too...although Emily doesn't always love to share her slide!

Emily has been introduced to a fun summer treat-and loves it!

She actually stopped and smiled for a picture!!
